Operation Overboard

CBS has aired a story with damning video - now YouTubed, of course - proving that Senator Hillary Clinton did not land "under sniper fire" when she visited Bosnia in 1996, that she and her party did not have to run from their helicopter with their "heads down" and that she was indeed formally greeted at the commencement of an obviously calm, uneventful stopover. The only truthful part of her account seems to be that she visited Bosnia. The Normandy Landing it wasn't. She made the claim standing at a lectern decorated with the slogan, "Ready to Bring Our Troops Home." As you are when you've endured the terror of imaginary bullets. The CBS report ends with the presenter's moral of the story: "In politics, memories should always match the video." Already bad news for Barack Obama. Not so bad for John McCain.
